I strive to create residential landscapes that engage people whether it be for sport, play, entertaining, or contemplation. With the subtle and innovative use of materials and plantings, spaces can be defined, unified or sequestered. Even the smallest of spaces offers the opportunity to create a place that captures the imagination and invites one to pause. I enjoy collaborating with the client as well as architects, engineers, contractors and fabricators to create unique spaces and elements in the garden. Water conservation is a guiding principal in California garden design. I often incorporate native and drought-tolerant plants, yet the gardens I design are rich in texture and style.
I have been a landscape architect and business woman for 20 years, and subsequently a mother. I like creativity, efficiency and a timeless quality. I enhance the vision of my clients and elevate the space to something extraordinary. With the use of well-selected materials and proper placement of elements, a landscape will endure and accommodate the phases a family/client very well. I care deeply about creating landscapes that meet the needs of each and every client.
